We have several home groups that meet mid-week, mostly in the evenings but some meet earlier in the day. These groups are for fellowship, Bible study and prayer and well over half the church belong to one of these groups, they are considered a very important part of church life.
Men @ St. Marks
We have a group specifically for the men in our church which meets about 6 times a year. The meetings are a mixture of social events and others where we can explore aspects of the Christian faith as it relates to our everyday life, the picture here shows us sharing a Christmas meal at Chungs, Mapperley.
Details of all our meetings are on the ‘What’s On’ page and on our Facebook page at: men@stmarks.
For more information please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org
We meet on the second Wednesday afternoon of each month in the church hall. As well as enjoying a wide variety of speakers our activities include an annual service in church, a garden afternoon and an annual outing. Through our links with the Archdeaconry and Deanery we support a range of activities locally, nationally and globally. We work with our other branches to provide prayerful, practical and financial support where needed. We give a warm welcome to any visitors to our meetings.
Evening Mothers’ Union
We now have a new group which meets in the evening for anyone who is interested in fun, friendship and families. Our vision is of a world where God’s love is shown through loving, respectful and flourishing relationships. If you would like to join us or find out more, contact Halina Cranston in the church office. Everyone is welcome.
Mothers’ Union is not just for mothers, but for all men and women who share our vision.
The Thursday Club meets on the 3rd Thursday of every month in the Church Hall.
We run a varied programme of activities for the older generation.
All of the activities are geared towards the opportunity to share food, fun and fellowship. Although there are occasional lunches, most events are centred around a traditional afternoon tea, offering freshly prepared rolls, sandwiches and homemade cakes.
New members are very welcome to come along so, if interested, please contact Bryan on 07884 062337 or email@example.com
