Experience St Mark’s
On Saturday 14th September we shall be holding an ‘open day’ for our community – an invitation to come and find out who we are and what we do. The church hall and car park will be used for all kinds of fun activities: bouncy castle, climbing wall, BBQ, Scalectrix, face-painting, children’s entertainer etc. And the main church building will be open for refreshments, cake, live music and an array of stalls profiling the different areas of ministry at St Marks.
Real LIFE, the diocesan discipleship course.
This is designed to equip and empower God’s people in making the life-long journey of following-after Christ is now entering its second year. The course is made-up of three ten-week blocks (Life CORE, Life CREDO and Life STORY), which in their own different ways look at ten ‘aspects’ of discipleship that emerge from the teaching and example of Jesus in Luke 9. You can register for all 30 weeks of the course or simply sign–up for the first 10-weeks and then decide at a later date whether you want to sign-up for another term. There is no charge to attend the course and it is open to all and is accessible to all (although those under 18 will need parental consent to attend and take part in Real LIFE).
The course will be running at St Mark’s on Tuesday evenings, beginning 17th September 2019. For more information about Real LIFE visit https://southwell.anglican.org/real-life-questions/ and to register for the course go to https://southwell.anglican.org/ and click on the purple Real LIFE box on the right hand side of the home page – this will take you to our on-line booking form.

Refreshments for children and adults are also served after the service giving parents some time to relax and chat in our very friendly environment.
All are welcome.
