Welcome to St Mark’s Woodthorpe

St Mark’s is a vibrant parish church that seeks to be a blessing to its community. We are like a big family of all ages and stages, exploring faith, doing life together and responding to the needs of our neighbourhood and city. We believe that following Jesus Christ is the best thing anyone can do.

Our values at St Mark’s are ‘All Welcome; All Involved; All Sent’. This means that we offer a warm welcome and celebrate diversity. We seek to involve everyone, drawing upon each other’s unique gifts and talents. And we recognise that we are sent into the world to serve God and our neighbour, through the jobs we do and the lives we lead.

In these challenging times, St Mark’s is caring for the community through practical action, pastoral support and prayer. If you would value a conversation with one of us, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Ensuring that children, young people and vulnerable adults are kept safe whilst in our care is an integral part of our church life. If you have any safeguarding concerns, please contact our Parish Safeguarding Officer (Pat Simpson) on 0115 926 7859.

We refer all safeguarding information to the Diocesan Safeguarding Team who can be contacted for advice via email safeguarding@southwell.anglican.org or by phone 01636 817200 or via the website  Contact Safeguarding – Diocese of Southwell & Nottingham
