St Mark’s is a vibrant parish church that seeks to be a blessing to its community. We are like a big family of all ages and stages, exploring faith, doing life together and responding to the needs of our neighbourhood and city.
Our values at St Mark’s are ‘All Welcome; All Involved; All Sent’. This means that we are all about inclusion, welcome and celebrating diversity. We seek to involve everyone, drawing upon each other’s unique gifts and talents. And we recognise that we are sent into the world to serve God and our neighbour, through the jobs we do
and the lives we lead.
Church is so much more than the building and during this season of lockdown we have expanded our vision of what it means to be a community, using technology to bring us together. Online church has enabled us to worship and reflect; Sunday morning Coffee & Chat via Zoom provides us with the opportunity to catch up with one another, and a variety of mid-week groups enable us to get to know and support each other better.
In these challenging times, St Mark’s is caring for the community through practical action, pastoral support and prayer. If you would value a conversation with Matt or Jack, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
This week, the QR codes have been hidden around Arno Vale Recreation Ground (also known as the Helicopter Park). The map with code locations is here. Activity packs are available on Saturday and Sunday from the front garden of 35 Aylesham Road (just at the end of the jitty from the top of the park). The posters will be in the park until Friday.
P.S. If you like Skittles you may want to collect a pack this week!
